Dear Praying Friends,
Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We have
enjoyed
getting our deputation going this past quarter. We have been able
to
be in meetings in Arkansas, North Carolina, Virginia, and of course
Tennessee
over the past three months. Traveling with three small children
is
a learning experience, but gratefully the Lord answered our prayer by
allowing
us to obtain a van in June. From an Escort to a van, isn't God
good.
The Lord is gently pushing us out into full time deputation as I
was
laid off from my secular job this month. I guess we all need a
"little
push" from time to time. It is a little scary for us but as long as the
Lord
opens the doors we just want to follow His leading. The week
before
I was laid off we only had about five meeting scheduled for the next
few
months. Within a week's time it jumped to eleven and then to
twenty-two.
He always takes care of everything right on time! What a blessing
and
encouragement it has been just to see the Lord work.
We are very excited about our busy upcoming schedule, but please
keep
the children in your prayers, as the traveling can be hard on
them.
We are just getting our home schooling started for the year. This
year
Garrett is in the 4th grade, Seth is in K-5, and of course Christopher
(almost
two) is right in the middle of everything.
Our prayer cards are finally at the printers and should be in
hand
within a couple of weeks. We will send cards out to the churches
where
we have visited and left our temporary cards. Thank you for your
prayers
in this matter. Each step forward seems like such an
accomplishment,
at this stage.
We are praying that the Lord will open the doors to churches that
He
would have help us in our ministry to the Spanish. Our hearts and
minds
have really been on the lost and dying Spaniards more and more
lately.
The burden is great to think of the 40 million people in Spain with so
few
to give them the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Please continue to pray that our deputation will be short and that the
Lord
will allow us to get to work for Him there soon. Your support,
both
financially and especially in prayer, is so greatly appreciated and I
know
that the Lord will bless your faithfulness.
