Dear Pastor and Praying Friends, Greetings in the name of our wonderful Savior, Jesus Christ. We trust this prayer letter will encourage you and let you know as one of our favorite songs says, “It’s Not in Vain”. After many years of what seems to have been a famine in the country of Spain , we see the Lord working amongst these dear people. He is saving souls and changing lives and we are so thankful that we have a part in it with you. We are continuing our effort of placing the Gospel in every home by distributing bi-lingual John and Roman booklets and street evangelization. In the last two months we have seen four people come to know Christ as their personal Savior. One young immigrant couple, Favio (Brazilian) and Claudia (Paraguayan), visited the church in November. They told us that they were Catholic, but were never taught the Bible in their church and wanted to know what the Bible teaches. We obliged by telling them first of all about salvation. On our second visit to their home they both received Christ as their Savior. They have begun discipleship classes and have already read through the Gospel of John together. They have been very faithful and show a great desire to learn and grow in the Lord. We had two brothers (Jesus and Isai, ages 11 and 9) saved in our church services in December. They had been coming to our church for a few weeks with their family and had raised their hands indicating that they had interest in being saved. After the service I spoke with their dad about their interest in salvation and offered to speak with them if he liked. He went out immediately and brought them back into church and I was able to lead both of them to the Lord. Lord willing we will be able to have a baptismal service in the near future. Please pray for these precious people as they begin their new Christian life and service. We have had to make some changes in the church in order to accommodate our English and Spanish ministries. We have English preaching on Sunday mornings and Spanish preaching on Sunday and Wednesdays nights. While the Spanish side of the ministry appears to be taking off, we are still struggling on the American military side. We covet your prayers in this matter because we desperately want to see Americans from the base saved and serving the Lord also. The Lord recently blessed by giving us a high attendance of thirty-six people on December 14th. We have steadily increased in our Sunday night attendance and are asking the Lord to increase the attendance of the other services as well. One thing we have noticed is that we are not just reaching individuals, but rather are reaching entire families with the husbands leading their families in attendance to the church. We still need your prayers concerning the church property as there is no new news at this time. We are asking the Lord to guide us in this process and to accomplish His will. We are thrilled at all that the Lord is doing here. We want to thank all of you for your continued prayers and support. We wish you all a Merry CHRISTmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you for the special Christmas love offerings that you sent as well. God bless you. |
