Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,
Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We hope that you all had a wonderful CHRISTmas. We are looking forward to what the Lord is going to do in 2005. We would like to thank you for the many Christmas cards, gifts, and special offerings that you gave to us. You made our Christmas even more special. We spent the day with the families that have been coming to our services and Patsy made a birthday cake for Jesus. We are excited to report that the Lord has brought us a Romanian family. They came to Spain due to the horrible economic situation in Romania. Patsy met them in her Spanish class, befriended them, and now they are coming to practically every service. Please pray for Adrian, Florica, Bianca, Andres, and Ilie. Bianca gives clear testimony that she was saved in Romania due to the efforts of another missionary brother starting a work there. Please pray that the rest of her family will soon be saved also. We have also had the privilege of meeting an older couple from Argentina. Domingo and Anna Lopez have been coming to our studies until just recently, when they returned to Argentina for the holidays. Domingo hasn't trusted Christ as his personal Savior as of yet, but he participates in the Bible studies and opened his home up to us to use for the studies. Anna gives profession of faith that she is saved and has been fervently seeking to win her friends to Christ. They will return to Spain in February. Please pray that Domingo will allow the Lord to work in his heart concerning salvation. Another form of ministry that we are doing is offering free English classes to "whosoever". Right now I have three students: Bianca and Ilie from Romania and Cristina from Brazil. Ilie speaks English very well, but wishes to further his knowledge. I am using the Bible for his textbook. We are seeking the Lord's will in renting a church building in the central part of the city. Our home has been serving as the meeting place for most of the services, but we feel it is time to move it elsewhere. I thank the Lord that he has given us a home where we can have services. For example, we invited the church from Lebrija (La Iglesia Bautista Libertad, who we worked with when we first arrived to the field in 2001) to come down and help us dedicate our home and ministry. We were able to have over 40 people in our living room and dining room area. The Lord is always gracious to us. Please pray for Jamin Witte and his family, as they will be coming to work with us at the end of January. They are finishing up their deputation and waiting for finalization on their visas. We are looking forward to their arrival. We want to wish you all a Happy New Year. May God bless you as you continue to serve Him. Again, thank you for all your prayers and faithfulness to this ministry. |
