November - December 2007

Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,

Greetings in the name of our wonderful Savior, Jesus Christ.  We want to thank you for your faithfulness to us in 2007.  You have been so kind and gracious to us and we want to express our gratitude from the bottom of our heart.  We greatly appreciate so many of you sacrificing on our behalf and showering us with CHRISTmas love offerings.  We hope that the Thanksgiving, CHRISTmas and New Year’s holidays were wonderful for you as well.

Update on our Visas.  We are still awaiting approval of our Visas in order to return to Spain .  I was able to speak to the Spanish Consulate in December and was told that we “MIGHT” be able to have them as early as two months.  Now please don’t misunderstand me, she said “MIGHT” and we are dealing with the Spanish Consulate.  We are praying that this would also be the Lord’s will concerning when He would have us to go back.  Please keep praying with us on this matter.  We would like to ship a container by the end of February.

One leaving the nest.  We have finally come to the time in parenthood when one of our children will be leaving the nest.  We will be taking Garrett to Pensacola Christian College on January 19th where he will study Pre-Law.  As we draw closer to this date, we are still in awe at how fast time flies and how little time we really have to impact our children for Christ.  Garrett was a tremendous help to our ministry in Spain and here at the home.  We will send you a mailing address for him in our next prayer letter so you can keep in touch with him and encourage him.  This will be a big step for all of us due to the fact that we won’t be able to “just go down there” if he needs something and therefore ask you to join us in praying for the Lord’s protection and provision in Garrett’s life.

I was recently given the opportunity to witness to our landlord about what our beliefs are and about knowing Christ as my personal Savior.  My landlord, Mike, came to me one day and asked if he could speak to me about what we believe and share with me what he believed.  I immediately jumped on the opportunity and began to share with him what the Bible says.  Mike believes that Jesus Christ is God but his religion doesn’t believe in Heaven.  As he began to hear the Word of God you could see the Lord working in his heart.  Mike is an excellent person and by worldly standards a very devout, religious man.  Though Mike didn’t accept Christ as his personal Savior, he did want to know more.  Will you please pray for Mike to be saved and that I will continue to be a good witness and that God will allow me to lead him to Christ?  Please remember that according to Matthew 7:21-23, “…Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”

We are looking forward to what the Lord has in store for us in 2008.  We want to do our very best for Him and also for you.  It is an honor to represent you both here and abroad.  While the rest of the world continues in its Anti-Christian movement, we want to be faithful warriors standing firm for Christ and the Word of God.  Please help us by continuing your faithfulness to the Lord and keeping our eyes on Jesus.

We praise the Lord for providing us with new support from some churches that we had visited over the last few months.  We are still striving to have full support before we go back and trust that He will provide for us just what we need.  We are still open for meetings up until the day we leave.  If you would like for be in your church service, please let us know.  It would be an honor to update you in person.
