| Dear Pastor and Praying Friends, Greetings in the name of our wonderful Savior, Jesus Christ. We want to praise the Lord for all that He is and has been doing. We finally hit 90% and have started the process of getting our papers submitted in order to obtain our Visas. Bethel Baptist Church in Rota, Spain is submitting paperwork that will allow us to reapply for our Visas from the Spanish government. We should hear something from their government in 6 to 8 weeks. Please make this a matter of prayer. We want to praise the Lord for allowing us to go out West to visit new churches and see a part of the United States that we hadn’t seen before. We put over 7,000 miles on our van in five weeks. Thank you to all who prayed for our travels and for our van. God’s creation is so wonderful and amazing. It was exciting to see where God’s mighty hand formed the various landscapes. During our travels we were able to be in numerous churches in Kansas, Arkansas, Arizona, Texas, South Dakota and Montana. It was a tremendous blessing to be able present our ministry before many churches that are new works. The ages of these churches range from one year old to five years old. It encouraged us to see how God is blessing them. Garrett and I had the privilege to do some disaster relief work in Greensburg, Kansas after the tornado devastated that small town. The news media pictures of the damage don’t adequately explain just how much was truly lost. The miracle in it all was that only 12 people lost their lives. Please pray for the families of Greensburg and the Bible Baptist Church. After coming back from Montana (practically the next day) we had the awesome privilege to work in our home church’s summer youth camp. Camp Canaan is a week long camp that reaches juniors and teenagers. We especially love Camp Canaan because of the emphasis on the Bible. We have plenty of sporting competitions during the week, but the way to win at camp is to know the passage of Scripture that you are given to study and memorize. Many awards were handed out at the end of camp and we are proud that Seth and Chris both won the Bible Award in their respective age groups. This is one of the top awards at camp and it sure makes us proud to see our children doing something for the Lord. It is an honor to report that many young people trusted Christ as their personal Savior during camp. Patsy and I had the privilege to lead some of those to the Lord. I also had the wonderful opportunity to pray with a young man who surrendered his life to be a missionary. Tears streamed down my face as he shared what the Lord was doing in his heart and how he knew the Lord was calling him. If you and your church are looking for a great summer camp to send your young people to, allow us to recommend Camp Canaan. You can get more information from our church’s website below or call our church. We want to thank you all very much for your faithfulness. Many of you have been there with us through thick and thin for years. We praise the Lord that you continue to stand with us. Your prayers have made the difference and the evidence is in what the Lord has done and is doing in our lives. “Not because I desire a gift, but I desire fruit that may about unto your account.” |
