June - July 2001
Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We
have looked forward to writing this letter for a long time. It is
our
privilege to announce that we will be leaving for Spain on September
4.
We will be leaving Atlanta at 11:00 am and arriving in Sevilla the
morning
of the 5th. The Lord is greatly to be praised!! Also, we
want
you to know that we could not have done this without you and all the
prayers
that you have made on our behalf. Our dear Lord has been so
wonderful
to us.
These last two months have been amazing. We are currently at 91%
of
our needed support with promises of more to come in. We know that
the
Lord will bring in the rest. We are very excited and anxious
about
moving to Spain and beginning the work that the Lord has for us
there.
We ask that you help us pray about finding an apartment to live
in.
As of yet, we haven't been able to locate one, but we know that it will
only
be a matter of time. There is no doubt in our mind that the Lord
will
do a great work in Sevilla. What a tremendous honor and
responsibility
He has entrusted us with.
Once we arrive in Sevilla we will begin language school as soon
as
possible. Patsy and I both covet your prayers that the Lord will
allow
us to apprehend Castillian Spanish quickly and that our boys will not
be
overwhelmed by all this transition. We hope that what little we
already
know will help us in doing so. There are various opportunities to
reach
the international students of the various colleges/universities in
Sevilla.
We are planning to begin Bible studies as soon as we can to reach
them.
We look at it as God bringing these precious souls to us so we can
present
them with the Gospel.
We are grateful that God has allowed us to complete our
deputation.
You have been very generous in allowing us to come and present our
ministry
before you. It has truly been a blessing to see so many
Christians
that are faithful in the Lord's work. Please remain faithful to
Christ
and do all you can for Him until He returns. God bless you all.
