Dear Pastor and Co-laborers in Christ,
Greetings from wet southern Spain. We have had record breaking rain fall this year that has been described as the most rain to have fallen here in 50 years. Many towns, villages, and cities are suffering from the flooding and many people have lost all their household items if not their houses. Please pray for the needs of these people. We, of course, are asking the Lord to bring their attention to their need of Him as Savior.
We are very excited that the Lord has sent us a new military family who just had their first child. We are privileged to have this family that was saved and trained under another Macedonia missionary in Washington State. This couple is already involved in all of the church ministries and is such a blessing. They have done very well for having their child overseas and away from their family. This is something we should remember concerning all of our service men and women. We need to pray for all the military families around the world.
We have begun teaching Spanish/English to our church members in order that they might win others to Christ in another language. It is a tremendous blessing to see their concern for souls and determination to reach out to others. Seth and I are teaching Spanish and Patsy is teaching English. We give normal lessons, but each week the students have to learn a memory verse in the language that they are studying. Please pray that the Lord will help them learn and apply this knowledge quickly.
We praise the Lord that He has called another young man into the ministry. Zack is a young airman who recently surrendered to preach and believes that the Lord would have him return to Spain as a missionary. We are very excited about this and are looking forward to what the Lord has in store for him and his family. He is a blessing to me personally and a very faithful soul winning/warning companion. This now gives us two young preachers in the church. Please continue to pray for Fabio, as well. Fabio’s wife is expecting their second child.
Thank you for all your prayers concerning Garrett. Lord willing, he should be going to boot camp on March 15th. Please ask the Lord to protect him and guide him, especially due to the moral decay of our military. The repeal of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy is very bothersome to me. Our country is like the backsliding heifer in Hosea 4 and only God can bring it back, if we follow 2 Chronicles 7:14.
Please pray for a young man named Aitor. He is a Columbian young man whose dad is in the Spanish Navy. On occasion Aitor has come to our church on his bicycle, a little over two miles from the base. He came the other night during the invitation and said that he received Christ as his Savior. I hope that he truly did, but he also asked me to pray for him saying, “Because the demons are trapped inside my heart”. We are very concerned for him and are asking you to boldly approach the Throne of Grace with us on his behalf. Satan has a terrible stronghold on Spain and many of the South American immigrants that come here, but…. God is able!!!
Brethren, again, we thank you for your continued faithfulness to this ministry and want you to know that we count it an honor and awesome privilege to be your representatives here. Please don’t take your eyes off Jesus. The Bible prophesies of a “falling away”, of which I see happening all around us, but please let’s covenant together to stand firm in the Lord Jesus Christ until His return!
