| Dear Pastor and Praying Friends, Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord for another year to be able to serve Him. We thank the Lord for the safe arrival of the Witte family. They arrived on the 9th of February and will be working with us until they learn Spanish and have the Lord's leading as to where He wants them to plant churches. They have found a home and are still waiting on their container to arrive with all their belongings. Please pray for them as they adjust to the Spanish culture and ask the Lord to help all their paperwork to be done quickly. Bro. Jamin and I have been busy passing out tracts and inviting people to come to church. It is truly a blessing to have a co-laborer out in the streets with me. I am sure that he will be a great asset to this ministry. In our last prayer letter we told you about the family from Romania. They are still faithfully attending church services and are trying to get legalized to live in Spain as residents. I want to ask you to especially pray for Adrian. He is under deep conviction and needs to be saved. He had made a profession of faith in a Pentecostal church when he was a teenager, but has recently asked many questions about salvation. It is a dangerous time due to the fact that he has realized he needs to be saved, but is waiting to call upon the Lord. His wife, Florica, also needs to be saved. One barrier we have is language. Although Adrian speaks Spanish very well, he still doesn't understand some of the words. He wants to read the verses in his own language so that he can understand better. We are ordering Bibles in Romanian to give to them. Please pray for me as I try to explain Bible verses to this dear family. Another reason this is vitally important is because the family read for the first time that Christ had siblings. They had been taught all their life that Mary was a perpetual virgin and never had any other children. When they asked me about it, I told them they have to make a decision to believe God's Word or continue in their tradition. I cannot explain the expression of disappointment on their faces as they realized the contradiction between the Bible and their religious tradition. "We ought to obey God rather than man." We have been blessed to have another Romanian family to start coming to church. They are friends of Adrian and Florica. Please pray for Idet, Atila, and Agnes. Idet is staunch Catholic, but after attending one service she said she is definitely coming back. God is so wonderful. Atila is coming to our English classes and he is doing very well. On a sad note we had to say goodbye to Ilie. He had to return to Romania to finish his basic education. He had grown so much in just the little time that he was here and it was really tough to watch him leave. Please pray for him. I gave him a KJV Bible and made him promise me that he would read it. He recently wrote me and told me is reading it everyday. He plans to return this summer and I am looking forward to it. I know the Lord wants to use this young man greatly. We want to thank the churches that have been sending us preaching on cd and cassette. They have been a blessing to us. I would like to ask you all to make sure that you use our new field address: Calle Camaron, 5 11500 El Puerto de Santa Maria, Cádiz, Spain |
