April - May 2001

Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  We are grateful for what the Lord continues to do in our lives.  We received our "official invitation" to come to Spain as missionaries from the church that I was saved in.  We are now in the process of obtaining all the necessary paperwork in order to apply for our visas.  We would ask you to pray that the Lord will allow all the paperwork to go through quickly.  Thankfully we have already received our passports.

Our Pastor has told us to go ahead and set a target date.  We hope to be able to depart for Spain by the end of this summer!!  Yes, we are very excited.  I am amazed how we have spent all this time going through Bible College and raising support to get to Spain and now we can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel.  We are planning to enroll in language school as soon as we arrive.  Unfortunately it doesn’t appear that we will be able to use our G.I. Bill.  We know the Lord will provide this need also.

I apologize for this prayer letter being a little late.  We have been out of town making "good-bye" visits to most of Patsy's family. We would ask that you continue to pray for lost loved ones in our family.  We do witness to them; they just don't see the need in their own lives.  I'm eternally grateful that people never gave up on me.

We are pleased to announce that the Lord has given us 76% of our needed support.  Glory to His Holy Name!!  Join us in praying that the other 24% will come in quickly.  We have been in 132 churches in the last year and ten months and have put almost 90,000 miles on our van.  We will be glad to work within a Spanish city where much of the time you only need a moped or two good feet to get around.

We would like to thank all the wonderful churches and pastors that have allowed us to share our call to Spain with them these last two months. We pray that the Lord has not only increased their burden for Spain, but also for the whole world.  Please note:  Macedonia World Baptist Missions, Inc. has a new address.  The new address is P.O. Box 519, Braselton, GA  30517.   All correspondence and support will need to be mailed to this address.  God has blessed the home office by allowing a new facility to be purchased that will better serve their ministry.
