May - June 2004

Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Thank you for all the prayers and cards on our behalf regarding Patsy’s mom, Shelah Wisler.  Shelah went to be with the Lord on June 3rd.  We praise the Lord that He allowed us the opportunity to present the plan of Salvation at the memorial service to our lost family members and Shelah’s friends.  It was sad however, that the actual funeral service was Catholic.  The priest told everyone how that Shelah was “saved” because she was baptized into the Catholic Church and she was “saved” because she partook of the Eucharist.  It was sickening to hear all the lies that Satan would have these lost people believe to keep them on their way to hell and from the truth.  We are happy that Shelah made a profession of faith years ago and stood firmly by it.

We want to thank Heritage Baptist Church in Lawrence, Kansas for allowing us to stay in their prophet’s chamber during this time of need.  They were a tremendous blessing to us.  It is comforting to know Pastor Hanks and the members of Heritage are standing firm and contending for the faith.

While we are grateful to all the churches that have recently allowed us to present our ministry to them, we would like to give a special “thanks” to the following churches for taking us on for support:

Center Pigeon Baptist Church – North Carolina
Light of Calvary Baptist Church - Georgia
Lighthouse Baptist Church – South Carolina
Victorious Valley Baptist Church - Georgia

The Lord recently allowed us the privilege to attend Camp Canaan, our home church’s annual youth camp.  We were blessed to see fifteen young people make professions of faith in Christ as their personal Savior and others surrender their lives to serve the Lord.  It made suffering through the summer heat and late nights worth it all.  We also want to thank our church members who made it possible for us to attend.

Following Camp Canaan we were at Macedonia World Baptist Missions’ headquarters in Braselton, GA for Orientation week.  It was one of the most informative orientations that we have ever been to.  The Lord used our veteran missionaries to challenge our hearts and encourage us even more.  We can’t wait to get back to Spain to do the work the Lord has called us to.  We are scheduled to return September 20th.  We ask that you continue praying for us as we travel and try to raise additional needed support.

All indications are that the Euro to U.S. Dollar exchange rate will remain where it is or go higher.  The media already refers to the Euro as the “one world currency”.  The Bible foretells of these times and it is nothing to fear or panic over, but it is something that we have to deal with financially.  We also have to face it spiritually by “redeeming the time” to aggressively spread the Gospel to those who have never heard.
