Dear Pastor and Praying Friends, Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus
Christ. We want to thank you for being so faithful to our Lord
and
Savior. The Lord is answering your
prayers and we rejoice to report that we have had four people to make
professions of faith in Christ as their personal Savior.
They are Adrian, Florica, and Andres from
Romania and Terry Clark, a U.S. serviceman, who is stationed in Rota,
Spain. Along with the saving of these
precious
souls, the Lord has brought others to our services.
Please pray for Javier (a Spaniard) and Cristiana (his
German
wife). We are also glad that the Lord
has allowed Domingo and Anna Lopez to return from their trip to
Argentina. Domingo still needs to be saved
and is need
of your prayers. Andres has been a particular blessing to us. Since accepting the Lord, he has been with
us out in the streets passing out tracts and inviting people to church. He is 15 years old and it is a blessing to
see the Lord work in this young man’s heart. I
recently called upon him to pray in a church service and
he prayed as
though he had been praying all of his life. Amen,
Praise the Lord, Hallelujah!!!! Please
pray for his spiritual growth as well as for the
others recently
saved. Brethren, we have been faced with a trial of
whether
or not we are going to be forced to leave Spain. We
had applied for a renewal of our Spanish residence and it has
been denied. The reason for the denial,
we learned, is because anyone who has a residence card cannot be out of
Spain
longer than six months in any given year. As
you know, we were back in the states in 2004 for eight
months to
raise more support. We had to report to
the local National Police station and they stamped our passports
telling us we
have to be out of Spain by May 21st. We
are filing an appeal that will hopefully overrule the
decision. We will be permitted to stay
in the country until a ruling on our appeal has been made.
We were ignorant to this particular law, but
understand that it is not a valid excuse. One
major thing on our side is that Daniel is a dual
citizen of both the
U.S. and Spain. Legally, they are not
supposed to be able to deport a Spanish national. So
please pray that the Lord will help us not to have to leave
Spain or re-apply for our visas. We ask
that you pray for our lawyer as she prepares the appeal.
Josefina is a true Christian and is helping
us at no charge. She said, “I am
helping you for the glory of God.” Since last September, one of our goals has
been to
cover all of El Puerto with Gospel tracts. So
far we have passed out over 5,000 tracts. We
are praying that with the power of the Holy Spirit and
our
continual presence among the people that we will soon see more results. If nothing else we want them to know who we
are and whom we stand for. |
