Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.  We have returned to Spain and are so grateful for what the Lord has done.  We arrived on September 21st and have now moved into a house.  The Lord provided us with a wonderful house that is perfect for having Bible studies and church services.  The kids like it too.  It has a spacious yard for them to play in.  Due to all the transition, our prayer letter is late and we ask that you please understand.

We want to thank all of you for making our first furlough such a blessing.  We enjoyed the time we spent back in the states, but to be honest, it is good to be back on the field.  The Lord really used many of you to encourage us and help us along the way.  Thank you for your faithfulness.  We really appreciate the step of faith some of you took by increasing our support and want to thank those new churches that recently took us on.  Our desire is to be good stewards and produce an increase with what we have been entrusted with.

Since our arrival we have made contact with the families who had been coming to our Bible Studies and were able to start meeting right away.  It is such a blessing to see people wanting to continue in the Lord's work.  We have also made contact with new families.  Please pray for the Lord to move in the hearts of these families.  Right now we are meeting in the evenings on Sunday, Thursday, and Saturday.  I have begun teaching through the book of John on Sunday and teaching on the church and its function on the other nights.

Spain recently became the third country in the world to legalize homosexual marriages and adoptions.  What a sad testimony for a country that used to be so morally staunch.  The judgment of God is definitely coming and probably has already begun.  We must do all we can to reach as many as possible before the Lord's return.  These poor souls are so blinded by material wealth and prosperity that they don't see their need for a Savior.  There is also news of using a computer chip and placing it in the hands of certain patrons at particular clubs and restaurants here in Spain.  Of course, it isn't called the mark of the beast (which it is), but is being portrayed as a way to protect your identity and personal information.  It has already been tested and will probably soon be made available to whoever may want it.

Due to the large influx of immigrants the government recently mandated that each city give free language classes to foreigners who come to Spain to live.  Patsy has enrolled in these classes and attends five hours a week.  This is a blessing due to the fact that a language school runs at least 400 Euros (about $500) a month to attend.  This is another open door to the large international community here.  Her class has people from Romania, Russia, Egypt, Poland and Morocco.  Once again, the Lord knows what we need and always provides for us.
